Nottingham Trent University secures forensic partnership
Nottingham Trent University has announced that it has forged a deal with sector skills council Skills for Justice that could benefit future employers in the forensic industry.
Science experts from the learning body established the relationship to make sure the university's courses continue to provide top-quality graduates.
Programme Leader for the Forensic Science degree studies at the institution David Butler said that he was 'pleased' with the alliance. -

University awarded for environmental awareness

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) was today (June 18th) recognised as the most environmentally-friendly university in the People and Planet Green League published by Times Higher Education.
The institution jumped 18 places on its entry last year after undertaking a series of initiatives aimed at increasing sustainability, managing waste and reducing carbon emissions.
Commenting on the achievement, NTU Environment Officer Grant Anderson said: 'It's fantastic that we've been named as the number one green university, but we've got lots more ideas to put in place that will make us even greener!' -

SunGard to train MBAs
Graduate recruiter SunGard will be training students pursuing a master of business administration (MBA) degree in energy-efficient strategies as part of a programme run by the US Environmental Defense Fund (EDF).
Under the ten-week Climate Corps summer fellowship course, participants explore the ways in which sustainability is embedded within leading organisations.
This year marks the first time that software and IT services company SunGard is involved in the programme and is hosting Ryan Whisnant, an environmental engineering and MBA student from the University of Michigan.
