Nottingham Trent helps secure global exhibition
A global art event is to be hosted by Nottingham, it has emerged.
The 2012 World Exhibition Event for Young Artists, will take place in the city immediately after the Olympic Games and may be of interest to art graduates.
Nottingham Trent University was fundamental in securing the bid to present the show in conjunction with the city authority and arts council.
Some 2,500 emerging artists from all over the world will showcase their work in a variety of the city's venues and creative spaces. -

Cranfield University students promote flu awareness

Students at Cranfield University, a graduate jobs provider, have developed a novel new way of keeping people prepared in the face of a potential flu epidemic.
Completed by learners on the Master of Design in Innovation and Creativity in Industry course, the final product was a postable flat-pack pop-up bag and related book.
The container has numerous pockets, which are all designed for particular medical items, with a shopping list also provided so that users are encouraged to fill it themselves. -

Cranfield launches new employment programme
Graduate jobs provider Cranfield University has unveiled a new scheme designed to help those suffering from the economic downturn.
The four-week Enhanced Professional Development Programme - available fully funded for people who have received redundancy notices or are unemployed - will cover a number of different areas, from writing CVs and interview techniques through to presentation skills and improving efficiency.
