Google's recruitment strategy revealed
Google, the search engine giant which recently received an award for best UK workplace, has explained why it has a successful recruitment policy.
The company won the gong following a survey of 1.5 million people by the Great Place to Work Institute, Personnel Today reports.
Liane Hornsey of Google's human resources department told the website that the company is 'built on trust.'
'We try very hard to find the right people, people who will fit in with the Google culture, because we believe that if you can hire the right people, then everything else just flows from that,' she stated.
Google - which gave every employee a brand new bicycle last year - places a 'big emphasis on hiring,' Ms Hornsey said.
Microsoft was also a winner at the Great Place to Work Institute awards, scooping the best large workplace in Europe prize, ZDNet reported.
