PwC wins top graduate employer award
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has won the Times High Fliers Top Graduate Employer of year award for the sixth year in row.
Voted for by students and graduates themselves, the accolade was described as a "fantastic recognition" of the opportunities the firm provides by Chairman and Senior Partner Ian Powell.
He remarked: "We held our nerve in the market and maintained our recruitment levels, because no matter what the current economic conditions, we are committed to recognising and developing talented people."
Investing in the future of graduates now is what will enable PwC to come out of the recession in a stronger position, Mr Powell added.
According to the enterprise, it maintained its graduate programme this year and employed 1,000 people to tax, advisory and assurance roles.
PwC moved up from ninth place to seventh in the Times best big companies to work for study earlier this year and revealed a one per cent increase in revenues in its 12-monthly report.
