Kier wins £250m contract
Graduate jobs provider Kier Construction has announced it is one company in a partnership that has been awarded a contract extension for a leading water provider.
The KMI Plus joint venture, which also includes Murphy Group, Interserve Project Services and Mouchel, will continue to provide its Non Infrastructure Capital Delivery framework for United Utilities.
Originally confirmed in 2005, the AMP4 agreement was subject to performance indicators on whether the project would be continued to AMP5.
With the new extension, the KMI association will now continue to partner with the water and wastewater company throughout the AMP5 agreement until March 2015.
By the end of 2010, the AMP4 agreement is expected to have completed £400m of maintenance, refurbishment and construction work. The association delivered £230m of support under an original contract for the AMP3 framework.
The KMI partnership has completed over 130 projects in the last six years, with capitals valued at between £0.1m and £35m.
