Graduates should focus their applications, expert says
People looking to find a position with a graduate jobs provider need to put more care and attention into their application forms, one specialist has suggested.
Chairman of membership organisation The Recruitment Society Steve Huxman said individuals that are just out of university need to be well-prepared and flexible in the current economic climate.
He remarked: 'The more applications you make, the more effort you have put into those applications, the more opportunities you identify that is what makes the difference.'
To be successful in securing a job, graduates should avoid sending out a generic CV to multiple companies, Mr Huxman added.
It is important that people seeking a position are pro-active as they will not receive offers by simply sitting back and relaxing, he stated.
In recent news, Chief Executive of the Work Wise UK initiative Phil Flaxton commented that those who have just left university need to be more innovative in their approach to securing a vacancy.
