Accenture wins financial management contract
Graduate employer Accenture has announced that it has been chosen to deliver technology services to the European Space Agency (ESA) as part of a four-and-a-half year contract.
The global consulting firm will provide a new management model to help support the agency's Financial Management Reform programme.
ESA Project Implementation Manager Jonathan Doyle said that the project is important for increasing the transparency and efficiency of the institution's financial resources.
He said: 'We chose Accenture as a reform partner in this challenging endeavour because of their commitment to delivering the high-profile business outcomes we require on schedule.'
Due for launch in January 2010, the proposed reforms include the replacement of ESA's present information structures with a new integrated SAP solution.
Accenture will also be responsible for managing the project after delivery, as well as maintaining any future application developments.
Gartner's MarketScope report recently awarded Accenture the highest possible rating for its claims handling systems.
