Training to be a field manager
A thorough knowledge of the technology is often gained through training in research and development and testing departments.
Ongoing training leads to chartered or incorporated engineer status, and includes the development of management skills and continual learning relating to advancements in technology.
Salaries for field managers
Starting salaries are typically in the region of £20,000 to £24,000 plus additional benefits that, after training, usually include a company car.
