The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development offers the Certificate in Training Practice and the Professional Development Scheme. Some courses can be taken on a part-time, modular or distance-learning basis.

NVQs / SVQs in Training and Development are also available.

Salaries for training officers / managers

Salaries vary considerably depending on experience and qualifications, but typical salaries range from £17,000 for a training administrator, to around £50,000 for a senior training manager.
