Training to be a recruitment consultant

Training is usually on the job. Occasionally employers sponsor study for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualifications.

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation also offers a certificate and a diploma in recruitment practice.

Salaries for recruitment consultants

Since pay in these positions is often related to performance, it is difficult to state salaries for recruitment consultants. The range is approximately £14,000 to £22,000.

Often the starting salary is a basic one, which is increased by means of commission or OTE (on-target earnings).
