- put together and implement an agreed list of priorities which forms a business plan for a department or whole organisation

The NHS Management Training Scheme is a fast-track programme for graduates who want to be the senior executives of the future NHS. It combines work experience and projects with professional qualifications.
Salaries for healthcare managers
The graduate entry level starting salary is around £20,000 (without London weighting). After leaving the Management Training Scheme, graduates earn £26,000 to £31,000.
Chief executives of large NHS Trusts or private hospitals can earn over £100,000 per year.
