ADD ADVICE TO FAVSources of advice
If you want to speak to someone about your visa or work-permit, try the following sources of advice and support:
On-campus support
There are usually a few places you can go on campus to talk through the issues. For example:
- Students' Union
Most students' unions have welfare and advice centres, and many have people who are licensed to advise on immigration issues. - International Office
Immigration advice can often fall under the remit of university international offices. If you have one of these at your institution, check their website for immigration updates and how to get help. - Careers Service
Some careers services have very good information about how immigration relates to your career planning. - Admissions Office / Registry
Sometimes you have to deal with this department to obtain proof that you've enrolled on or completed an academic course.
Other sources of immigration advice
As well as on-campus support, there are a number of organisations that might be able to help with your specific situation.
- UK Council for Student International Affairs (UKCISA)
